Field Tests & Measurements

SPC have pioneered field measurement activities relating to earthing system for Greenfield projects and also existing installations. For Greenfield projects, investigation of soil Resistivity at site is a pre-requisite for designing effective earthing systems.  This would ensure “What we design is What we achieve on ground”.

 For existing installations, periodical checking of Resistance to remote earth also known as Earth Resistance by field measurements is a mandatory requirement for checking adequacy of earthing system. This is most often necessitated by an increase in fault level at the earthing installation or even as part of earthing system audit. SPC undertakes Earth resistance Tests for green field projects as also the existing earthing installations such as HV substations, Low Tension (LT) & MV installations, Earth Pits etc.
